How does eContracting for CUDL work?

eContracting for CUDL seamlessly integrates with the CUDL platform, which handles the credit application and decision. The loan moves into eContracting to create and validate digital contracts, e-sign documents, and quickly submit contracts to lenders, ultimately allowing you to get funded faster.

Will eContracting for CUDL be available to all dealers?

Our solution will be available to all CUDL credit unions. However, dealers’ ability to use eContracting is dependent on credit union adoption.

Is SmartFund® being replaced with eContracting?

No, eContracting is an evolution of the digital document experience and SmartFund remains an important solution to elevate that process, offering a different way for dealers to submit funding packages.

What’s the difference between eContracting and SmartFund?

SmartFund digitizes documents for electronic submission, focusing on digital submission without managing the contract lifecycle. In contrast, eContracting digitalizes the entire contract process, ensuring accuracy and reducing errors or missing data that might require reworking contracts later.

What transaction types are supported?

Retail new and used vehicles only.

Will eContracting for CUDL support Spot Delivery?

Currently, eContracting for CUDL does not support Spot Delivery, also known as “Spot Buy.” A spot buy is where a buyer takes possession of a vehicle before financing is finalized, placing applications in a “refer” status. We’re actively working on future enhancements to include support for Spot Delivery, so stay tuned for updates.

How is eSignature provided and supported?

Remote eSigning: Send documents to customers via email, enabling them to sign virtually without being physically present at the dealership. All signatures (buyer and co-buyer) must be applied by midnight (dealership time zone) on the contract generation date. Customers can access their final copies for up to 14 days after signing.

 

In-store eSigning: Complete the signing process using a desktop via the browser, any tablet device (iPad® or Android®), or a legacy signature pad (support usage of the following Topaz® models: T-LBK766SE-BH165 and T-LBK766SE-BHSB-R).

How and where is eSigning supported?

Via Legacy Signature Pads: Support usage of the following Topaz® models: T-LBK766SE-BH165 and T-LBK766SE-BHSB-R. You can also upload documents within the eContracting experience.

Will there be Ancillary Document support?
