Effective date: January 15, 2026

Origence (“we”, “us”, or “our”) as a U.S.-based service provider offering services to Canadian consumers, is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of individuals in Canada. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

As a service provider, we do not collect personal information for our own purposes. Instead, we process such information solely on behalf of and under the direction of our Canadian client financial institutions, pursuant to contractual agreements that ensure compliance with PIPEDA and other applicable laws. When we receive or process information on behalf of our clients, the processing of that information is governed by our client’s privacy notice and consent mechanisms. Our clients are solely responsible for taking action or making changes to any consumer information that is submitted through our systems.

We collect personal information only for purposes that are reasonable and appropriate in the circumstances. This may include:

  • To provide and improve our services
  • To communicate with clients and users
  • To fulfill contractual obligations
  • To comply with legal requirements

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information such as:

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Any other information provided voluntarily

Consent

Your financial institution will need to obtain your consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. Consent may be expressed or implied, depending on the sensitivity of the information and the context. If you wish to withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, you must contact your financial institution.

Safeguards and Cross-Border Transfers

Personal information may be stored or processed in the United States. As such, it may be subject to U.S. laws and accessible to U.S. government authorities under lawful orders. We take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information transferred across borders is protected in accordance with Canadian privacy standards.

Origence maintains industry safeguards in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, to keep your personal information safe and secure. We use physical, organizational, and technological measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. These safeguards provide a comparable level of protection to PIPEDA and are appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

When we provide personal information to financial entities, our affiliates, or third-party service providers, we require that these parties agree to process and keep the information in compliance with applicable privacy laws. The use of your information by our business partners may be subject to that party’s own privacy notice. To learn more about how we protect your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Access and Correction

Please be advised that we are acting as a third-party service provider to a financial institution. If you wish to make updates or corrections to your personal information, or otherwise exercise your rights under PIPEDA, you will need to contact your financial institution.
