What is your favorite thing
about working at Origence?
I started with Origence one month ago and I already feel like I belong. Within the interview process, from the moment that I spoke with the HR recruiter, that conversation was amazing. My first interview was great. My second interview was a panel interview with two of the team members that I would potentially be working with, and it didn't feel like an interview. It felt more like a conversation. It felt more like let's get to know you and you get to know us and it felt immediately like I know I would fit in with these people. My favorite thing about working at Origence: For me, it's all about the mission. And our mission at Origence is helping credit unions help members get the best financial products for their life situation. It's a really personal story that I have in my history of why I believe in credit unions so much and the things that it's done for my family and and that of my extended family, and it's what brought me to the company ten years ago and wakes me up every single day ready to run. The reason I started working at Origence is because right out high school I started into the credit union industry myself and started as a teller. Right? Frontline, working with members day in day out and it was actually really rewarding. I saw Origence because I was actually using the technology at the time and I made the move and transitioned over to Origence and here I am today now on a national level helping credit unions serve their members, right? And that really resonates with me is because it's all about the member experience. How can credit unions serve their members, find solutions that work, right? I'm in sales but I don't like to sell. I like to solve problems by helping credit unions find these solutions that will ultimately help them become more efficient and serve their members. There's lots of things that I love about working for Origence. I love the ever changing landscape of things that we've done over the years that we've diversified, that we're helping credit unions who in turn are helping members. But it's always about the people, whether it's my team or clients, it's always about the people. What I really love about working with my team is they challenge me. Sometimes when I present ideas, they present them to me or come back to me with, other options and how we might come together as a better solution. I love that. Additionally, I would say that it's really important for me that they have a path for leadership. So creating spaces or opportunities for them that would allow them to shine and do what they do every single day, but to show other people within the organization what they do. I know they're great. I want other people to know that they're great. What sets Origence apart is the pace that we move forward from idea to, it actually going live. I worked at the big companies. Worked at Microsoft. I worked at Panasonic. I worked at Aon. They're all fortune fifty companies. But from an ideation to actually realization of the idea, it takes a long time. And Origence, what I like about it is collaborativeness between the team members, management, and getting an idea across the borderline. Yeah, we might pivot a lot, but we cross the finish line and we get the product in the hands of the end user. We are a team of passionate and committed individuals that collectively make something great. I enjoy coming to work every day. I enjoy conversing with my team members. I enjoy conversing with my peers. I learn from people every day. We have intelligent people. We have funny people, which I love, because you have to have laughter in the workplace. So I enjoy it. I would also be remiss, and I speak honestly, my team. I lead the marketing team and the events team, and I'm very blessed to have a group of very committed, creative, strategic, dynamic people, and my team makes me enjoy my job even more. So I'm grateful for an amazing team. The great thing about working at Origence is they continue to push the envelope forward. They are always looking at cutting edge technologies, but you do you have the stability of a company that's been around for thirty plus years. They're not content. They always wanna be that leader in the credit union industry, and that's why I love working here.
